The trade that works to the map of the lake

Plainest business name on the lake, on purpose. We didn't pick a clever brand; we picked the job: garage doors, Lake Macquarie, all of it. Everything else about how we work follows from taking that name seriously.

How we work

The lake has no bridge across its middle, so we plan the way any honest whole-of-lake trade has to: as a run around the water. Jobs get grouped by sheet, channel side, western shore, southern end, north and ridge, and the one-road-in villages get folded into the day rather than treated as a favour. It's not romance; it's logistics, and it's why one operator here can genuinely cover ground that would take a suburb shop three quotes to promise.

The other habit that shapes everything: we read a door before we touch it. Which shore it faces, how old its springs are, what its owner actually needs it to do. Sometimes that read says "replace it", and we'll say so even when a repair would have been an easier sell. The reverse is true more often: plenty of doors written off as dead just need a rebalance and a service.

Pricing, in plain words

No published prices, because a fair price needs eyes on the door. Repairs run as a call-out plus the work, quoted on site and agreed before a spanner comes out. New doors run as a free measure and quote, in writing, with nothing ordered until you say go. Servicing is quoted per visit, or as a written proposal for a rent-roll schedule. If a price ever surprises you, something has gone wrong with more than the price, and we'd want to know.

What we will and won't claim

  • We work on the common Australian door and opener types found on this lake: sectional, roller and tilt doors, rail-drive and tubular motors. We name brands like Merlin, Gliderol, B&D and ATA only to be useful, we're not an authorised dealer or agent for any of them, and we won't pretend otherwise.
  • Opener mains wiring is licensed electrical work in NSW and is done by a licensed electrician. Which side of that line a job sits on gets confirmed on site.
  • No response-time promises. We tell you honestly when we can be there, then we're there.
  • No invented reviews, star counts or "doors fixed" tallies anywhere on this site. When we have something to show, it'll be real.
  • Storm season gets preparation, not fear. We'll tell you what a front does to a door and how to be ready; we won't count down to one.

Straight answers to fair questions

Do you really cover the whole LGA?Yes. That's the point of the name and the run. Anchors are on the areas page; if your suburb's between them, you're still on the run.
Why can't I ring you?The form is the channel we can answer properly every time right now. Enquiries get read the same day by a person, and you'll get a number to reach us on once a job is booked.
Can you tell me a price over the form? No, and be wary of anyone who will. We can tell you the pricing shape (call-out plus work; measure and quote) and then be straight on site.
My door dropped with a bang. Is it dangerous?Treat it that way: that bang was almost certainly the torsion spring. Don't lift the door by hand, don't run the opener against it, and book the call-out.
Do you do commercial work?Rent rolls, unit blocks and small commercial doors, yes. Industrial roller shutters at scale, we'll tell you honestly if a job's beyond us and won't waste your week.
