Terms and disclaimer
Guides and tools are general guidance
The guides, the Run Sheet and everything else written on this site are general guidance offered in good faith. They describe how garage doors typically behave on this lake; they are not a diagnosis of your door, an engineering assessment, or advice about your specific property. The only assessment we stand behind is the one made in person, on site.
Safety content is a floor, not a ceiling
Where this site says something is dangerous, especially anything involving springs, cables or the parts that carry a door's weight, take it at face value. Where it says a task is generally safe for a handy owner, you remain the judge of your own tools, ability and situation.
Quotes and pricing
Nothing on this site is a price. Every job is quoted individually after we've seen the door or the site, and every price is agreed before work starts. A quote is an offer, not an obligation on you, and remains open for the period stated on it.
Imagery
Some images on this site are illustrative, stock or generated, showing the kind of work described rather than a specific completed job. No image here is presented as a particular customer's project.
Brands
Brand names mentioned on this site (for example Merlin, Gliderol, B&D, ATA, Colorbond) belong to their owners and are used only to describe the kinds of products we work with. We do not claim dealer, agent or accreditation status for any brand.
Links
Links to government and industry resources are provided because they're useful, not because those bodies endorse this site.
If something here is wrong
Tell us through the form and we'll fix it. A reference site that won't correct itself isn't one.
